I started my apprenticeship at High Beech Riding School in September 2019.  From the moment I started all the staff and the clients made me feel so welcome and helped me to settle in quickly.  Every horse at the Riding School is one of a kind and I fell in love with each and every one of them very quickly.  Some of the clients, especially the children, ask which horse is my favourite but it is just impossible to pick just one.  They all have their own personalities and I have fond memories with them all, such as my first time jumping on Honey or first time hacking in the forest on Thika, every one of them has taught me something.  I am pictured with young Jack who is just through and through the sweetest of ponies you could wish for. Through my apprenticeship I have gained my Level 2 NVQ in horse care and now I hope to start working to achieve my BHS stages.  The first step will be the Ride and Road safe exam which will enable me to escort hacks, something I can't wait to do!  After this, I hope to continue training at High Beech for my ridden exams as well as furthering my Horse Management skills working towards my coaching qualifications as teaching is my ultimate goal.  One of the best parts of working here is sharing the joy of horses and riding with the customers, especially those who are just starting to learn to ride.
