Eddy

Eddy joined High Beech Riding School in March 2023 as a 14yr old.  He was owned by Rosie Knox, our Yard Manager, and she needed to find him a new working home for him  as she had moved house and was also expecting a baby.  High Beech was the obvious solution and he settled in almost immediately to his new routine.  Rosie was given 5yr old Eddy as a Christmas present - and she went on to have many happy years with him competing in jumping and dressage competitions as well as doing the odd cross country for fun.  In December 2023 High Beech Riding School purchased Eddy to become a permanent member of our team.  A 16'3 Irish Sports Horse, Eddy takes most things in his rather large stride and has quickly become a firm favourite with many of the clients at High Beech giving lessons and hacks.  He is like a rather large dog enjoying a fuss and scratch as well as the odd treat, he has a lot of love to give.  It is with great joy that Rosie still gets the opportunity to ride her beloved Eddy when she takes a forest hack and he loves to stretch those long legs of his on the many tracks and grasses the surrounding forest has to offer.   Rosie, as we all do, hope that High Beech Riding School clients get as much enjoyment from Eddy as he has given her over the years.
